Per nepilnus du mėnesius vilnietis triumfavo Stockholm Open (3 pergalės) ir Germany Grand Prix (4 pergalės) turnyruose, o pasaulio taurės varžybose Irane atstovaudamas Suomijos ekipai nugalėjo 5 varžovus ir vienintelį kartą suklupo imtyje su turnyro šeimininku.

Po blankaus pasirodymo Europos čempionate gerus rezultatus rodo sunkiasvoris Mindaugas Mizgaitis – 3 vieta iškovota Vengrijos Grand Prix turnyre leido Pekino olimpinių žaidynių prizininkui išsaugoto ketvirtą poziciją reitingų lentelėje.

Artimiausias mūsų šalies klasikų startas – grandiozinis W.Pytlasinskio tarptautinis turnyras Lenkijoje. Belieka tikėtis, kad po šių varžybų į FILA reitingų lentelę sugrįš Edgaras Venckaitis, Laimutis Adomaitis ir kojos traumą išsigydęs Vilius Laurinaitis.
